About
I’m Michele Carbone and my husband and I have been a Rancho Palos Verdes resident since 2011. I am an active Abalone Cove Association Board Member. I have a Bachelors degree in Medical Technology with 2 Masters in Administration/ Management and Quality Assurance. ASQ and ASCP certified with CQM, CQA, CQPQ, DLM, MT certifications including California Licensed Scientist. Within the health care industry I am considered a regulatory and quality system expert with extensive experience with data, budgets, project management, planning and fiscal responsibility.
Because of my extensive skill set, I was successful in my previous career as a Laboratory Executive Director at Cedars Sinai, Children’s Hospital of Orange and Specialty Laboratories, and public career before starting my own business as a Health Care Consultant. As a consultant, I establish new laboratories and launch new assays to market or laboratory regulatory compliance/ accreditation both nationally and internationally. This requires extensive skill set with managing at a high level from laboratory design to the smallest of detail. I am very resourceful, if I do not know or understand it, I make sure I spend the time to become very knowledgeable to allow for good informed decisions.
I plan on applying the same skill set to address RPV issues.
I have been actively involved with Our Neighborhood Voices and Livable California since 2021 working tirelessly to restore local control throughout California and in particular the peninsula and increase public awareness with current California legislation hurting California's and dismantling neighborhoods, with increase in crime and taxes.
I am extremely knowledgeable about the Housing Element and in particular the RPV Housing Element as my neighborhood, Abalone Cove was directly impacted by the decisions made by the city, planning commission and council.
